Download YouTube Videos Directly Without Any Software

YouTube is not just the most popular online video sharing site but at the same time it’s the world’s third most popular website just behind Google and Facebook. 72 hours of videos are uploaded every minute to YouTube. Just YouTube mobile gets over 100 million views a day. So, YouTube, where anybody can go and watch their favorite videos for free, has become the favorite destination of people of all ages (18 to 54 years to be precise, as far as the demographic figures for YouTube is concerned). However, if you wish to download any of those videos there isn’t any easy option for that especially after YouTube updated itself so that browser addons (like Real Player video downloader) stop functioning.

But, sometimes users need to download videos. For example, users having slow internet connection would want to download the video they need to watch often (like tutorials) so that they could watch the videos without having to wait for several minutes or even hours of buffering every time they need to watch them.

Fortunately there are still a few good options available on the internet that would allow you to download YouTube videos free. Today we are going to discuss about one of those methods. Interestingly, the process we are going to learn here is pretty simple and you don’t even need any kind of software or addons to get the videos downloaded. Moreover, it would allow you to choose the download from several popular file extensions (e.g. mp4, flv etc.) and resolutions.

Follow the steps stated below to download your favorite videos from YouTube website.

Open www.youtube.com and choose your desired video

Pause the video at any point and check the URL on your browser address bar

-The URL should be like as below -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AidSjti0bTY

-Now in the address bar, simply replace the word ‘youtube’ with ‘voobys’ from the URL – so that the changed URL looks like
http://www.voobys.com/watch?v=AidSjti0bTY
-Now press the Enter key (Return key if you are using Mac). It will take you directly to the Voobys website
-This site would require to run a couple of Java applications and so you would need to accept and allow them to run on your computer. Below are the screenshots of the alert boxes that would pop up on your screen.
-Soon you will get to see the big green Download Video button as well as the several downloading options. You may choose the one you like to download the video quality you like.
-Save the video to your machine and enjoy watching it offline simply opening the video file as many times as you want without having to worry about your broadband bandwidth or speed.
